I noticed some conventions of a digipack and took that into consideration when creating my own one. From my research I found that
• There is a bar code on the product
• The imagine on the digipack was a logo or symbol or an imagine which would represent the artist.
• There was a song list that shows what kind of songs there were on the CD
• There was the same theme and colors running throughout
• It had between four to six panels
• Copyright information
• Details of their web sight/Myspace
Once I researched and we did our own digipack I found that there was a close relationship between the digipack design and the target audience and that the digipack design related directly to the genre. Digipack of the genre we will be creating (rock) often used simple images in familiar dark and gray settings such as an alleyway or street however we didn’t use an image that fitted this convention. We didn’t reveal the artist members on the digipack to add mystery . We also used an album track list which appeared to be on the panel and the color scheme of black and white remained consistent throughout.
